May 12 is the third anniversary of the release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and Nintendo has elected to mark the occasion by unveiling a new amiibo figure tied to the game, due later this year. It might be the best Tears of the Kingdom figurine yet.
The Mineru’s Construct amiibo will be available starting Sept. 17, 2026. It’s a relatively large-scale figure representing the ancient Zonai robot originally used by the Sage of Spirit, Mineru, and rebuilt and commanded by Link toward the end of the game’s storyline.
Best of all, it has fully articulated, posable arms! “There’s a fair bit of freedom to its movement too, so try making it pose in a way that looks good to you,” recommends Nintendo, helpfully.
As with other amiibo, tapping the Mineru’s Construct on your Switch’s NFC reader will reward you with helpful items in-game. Notably, there’s a chance to get a special fabric for Link’s paraglider with a Mineru’s Construct theme and glow-in-the-dark elements.
It’s anyone’s guess why Nintendo is choosing to release the Mineru’s Construct amiibo almost three years after the game (and a year after its Switch 2 edition). Although it’s worth noting that the very existence of the Construct could be conisdered a late-game spoiler for Tears of the Kingdom.
