Three more seasons of Hazbin Hotel are in the works, but the beloved animated series will conclude after that
Although Hazbin Hotel fans are still eagerly awaiting the start of Season 3, they’ve already learned that the show is ending. Thankfully, that conclusion is a long way off, as the animated series won’t wrap up until the newly announced fifth season airs.
Spindlehorse and Prime Video put out a Season 5 announcement teaser for Hazbin Hotel at LVL UP Expo on April 24, splicing footage from the show with the message that a “fifth and final” season is on the way. It’s brief and doesn’t reveal the series’ future direction, but it’s an exciting confirmation nonetheless. You can watch the brief video below.
Ever since its YouTube pilot about the princess of Hell first went viral in 2019, Hazbin Hotel has garnered a passionate fandom. The first season of the musical adult animated series aired on Prime Video in 2024, with a second season following in 2025. Before this announcement, Seasons 3 and 4 of Hazbin Hotel had been confirmed, and Spindlehorse had shared its desire for a five-season arc for the show with Polygon. Now, we know that the show will be able to deliver on that, even if we don’t know exactly when.
Those commenting on the YouTube announcement video were clearly happy that more Hazbin Hotel is on the way, but there was also confusion, as we still don’t know when the seasons before the show’s conclusion will come out. Season 3 of spin-off Helluva Boss was confirmed to begin this fall at LVL Up Expo, but Hazbin Hotel’s next season did not receive such an announcement.
About one year and eight months passed between Season 1 and Season 2, and Hazbin Hotel Season 2 concluded in Nov. 2025. Whenever the final season of Hazbin Hotel arrives, it’ll be available to stream on Prime Video like the rest of the series.
