One of the saddest facts about life is that there’s never enough time to play video games. It’s a truth Xbox Game Pass holders will have to swallow, however, as there are several titles that will be leaving the subscription service this month, including Jump Over the Age’s cyberpunk narrative adventure game, Citizen Sleeper.
Citizen Sleeper is a text-heavy RPG with a dice system inspired by tabletop role‑playing games. Players are put in control of a Sleeper, a human whose mind has been digitized and placed into a robot body controlled by the Essen-Arp mega-corporation. After picking their class, players discover that they’ve managed to escape Essen-Arp, and have arrived at a space station called the Eye. The Eye is a location filled to the brim with different factions who, much like the player, are trying to fight for survival and freedom.
Our review of Citizen Sleeper pinpointed the game’s greatest strength as its ability to allow players to “exist without a purpose or concrete objectives.” If that sounds like a pro, then even more reason to play this sci-fi adventure before it leaves Game Pass. Its sequel, Citizen Sleeper 2, is also available on Game Pass.
Joining Citizen Sleeper are the games:
- Creatures of Ava
- Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
- Endless Legend 2
- Goat Simulator
- Goat Simulator Remastered
- Hunt Showdown 1896
- NHL 24
- Revenge of the Savage Planet.
While there’s plenty of great new games to come this April, saying goodbye to beloved games like Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, a love letter to all things Dragon Ball, as well as the survival-horror extraction shooter Hunt Showdown 1896 is going to hurt. Fans of kooky adventures and slapstick silliness need to check out Goat Simulator, whereas if you’re looking for a sports game to delve into before April is up, NHL 24 is exactly what you need.
The games will leave the Game Pass library on April 30, so gamers who haven’t finished them should jump back in as soon as possible. Alternatively, if players are enjoying these departing games, then there is always the option to purchase them, saving up to 20%.
